Minnesota Timberwolves vs Toronto Raptors 25 October 2026 Prediction
Two unbeaten teams meet in Minneapolis. Minnesota returns home for its first home game of the season after wins over Miami (131-106) and Orlando (115-93). Can Toronto make it three straight?
Minnesota Has Started Strong
Minnesota’s first two games showed it can win even when Anthony Edwards struggles. He scored 45 points against Miami (131-106), but shot just 5-for-23 from the field against Orlando (115-93). The Timberwolves still dominated the glass, outrebounding Orlando 61-43 and collecting 21 offensive rebounds.
“Last season, we were one of the worst teams at standing around and watching rebounds instead of going after the ball. This year, we’ve changed our mentality and become a team that aggressively pursues every rebound,” said Chris Finch.
Gobert, McDaniels and Beringer have given Minnesota a stronger presence on the glass. Those rebounds help create transition opportunities for Ball and Edwards.
Minnesota Predicted Lineup: Ball, Edwards, Kuminga, McDaniels, Gobert
Out: DiVincenzo (injury)
Manager: Chris Finch
Toronto Has Also Started Well
Like Minnesota, Toronto has relied on physical play inside. After beating Chicago 135-92 at home, Darko Rajaković’s team won 112-102 at Washington on Friday. Barnes led the Raptors with 28 points and 14 rebounds against the Wizards. Toronto’s defense has forced 50 turnovers through two games.
The Raptors do have a concern on offense. They collected 19 offensive rebounds to Washington’s six, but their starters shot a combined 4-for-25 from three-point range. Barnes and Barrett have found success driving to the basket so far. Scoring inside against Gobert and McDaniels will be tougher, especially if Toronto’s outside shooting remains poor.
Toronto Predicted Lineup: Quickley, Barrett, Leonard, Barnes, Poeltl
Out: Bittle (injury)
Manager: Darko Rajaković
Minnesota Won Both Meetings Last Season
The Timberwolves won both games against Toronto in the 2025-26 regular season, 128-126 and 115-107.
Minnesota vs Toronto Prediction: Minnesota Handicap -3.5
Main pick: Both teams are unbeaten, but Minnesota has looked more convincing. Toronto’s wins over Chicago (135-92) and Washington (112-102) were built on its ability to score inside. Gobert and McDaniels should make that harder. With Ball and Edwards leading the offense, the pick is Minnesota -3.5.
Total pick: Both teams have defended well and competed for rebounds. Minnesota is allowing fewer than 100 points per game, while Toronto held both Chicago and Washington to 102 or fewer. The pick is under 226.5 points.
