Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion 25 October 2026 Prediction

Gevorg Danielyan   Prediction by   Gevorg Danielyan     October 23, 2026

Liverpool have started to recover from an uneven fall, but they face a Brighton side that has won four straight Premier League games without conceding, outscoring its opponents 15-0. Brighton enters the round in third place, while Liverpool sits fifth. The visitors’ winning streak ended on Thursday, though, when they drew 0-0 with Jablonec in the Conference League.

Liverpool’s Inconsistent Form

Andoni Iraola’s side has three wins, three draws and one loss in the Premier League, with nine goals scored and eight conceded. A 3-0 home loss to Manchester City was followed by a narrow 2-1 comeback win over Brentford, despite Liverpool having a man advantage for most of the second half. Their Champions League form has been better. Liverpool has won all three of its matches, including Tuesday’s 4-3 comeback against Villarreal after trailing by two goals. Alexis Mac Allister scored twice, and Florian Wirtz netted the winner.

Injuries remain a concern. Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are still recovering from long-term injuries, Giovanni Leoni remains out, and Jeremie Frimpong is unlikely to return from a muscle injury before the November international break. A thigh problem also makes Dominik Szoboszlai doubtful. Muñoz injured his knee against Brentford, missed the Villarreal game and has yet to resume full training. Bradley Barcola, however, played 16 minutes off the bench on Tuesday and trained fully on Friday. Iraola says he is ready. Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo are also available.

Brighton’s Strong League Form

Brighton’s last four Premier League games were shutout wins over Coventry (5-0), Arsenal (3-0), Sunderland (2-0) and Crystal Palace (5-0). After seven rounds, Fabian Hürzeler’s side has 16 points and a 23-5 goal difference. Brighton leads the league in goals scored and is tied with Arsenal for the fewest conceded. Brighton scored three times in the first 10 minutes against Palace. Its six-game winning streak across all competitions then ended with a 0-0 Conference League draw at Jablonec.

Hürzeler made eight changes after the Palace game, and Brighton still took 26 shots with 73% possession in the Czech Republic. His regular starters are expected back at Anfield, but attacking options remain limited. Kaoru Mitoma, Evan Ferguson, Tzimas, Aziz and Yohanna are injured. The availability of Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Strijk will be assessed closer to Sunday. Without its usual options out wide, Brighton has relied more on Kostoulas, Gómez and De Cuyper’s forward runs.

Liverpool vs Brighton Predicted Lineup

Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Gakpo, Wirtz, Barcola; Isak

Unavailable: Bradley, Ekitike, Leoni, Frimpong, Szoboszlai (injured); Muñoz (doubtful)

Manager: Andoni Iraola

Brighton (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Kadioglu, Vuskovic, Dunk, Boscagli; Groß, Andrés; Gómez, Ayari, De Cuyper; Kostoulas

Unavailable: Mitoma, Ferguson, Tzimas, Aziz, Yohanna (injured); Minteh, Wieffer, Strijk (doubtful)

Manager: Fabian Hürzeler

Referee: Samuel Barrott

Last Premier League season, Barrott averaged 3.63 yellow cards and 19.33 fouls per game. Across 24 matches, he showed one red card and awarded seven penalties. Through four matches this season, he has averaged 3.25 yellow cards and 20 fouls.

Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction: Liverpool to Win at 2.10

Main pick: Brighton’s recent results have narrowed the gap in the odds, but the visitors have only two full days between their trip to the Czech Republic and this game at Anfield. Liverpool played on Tuesday and did not have to travel. Brighton has also lost its last four visits to Liverpool. Its league form is strong, but the scheduling favors the hosts. The pick is Liverpool to win at 2.10.

Goals pick: Liverpool’s last four games across all competitions produced 22 goals: 6-3 against LASK, 0-3 against Manchester City, 2-1 against Brentford and 4-3 against Villarreal. Liverpool has left space at the back, while Brighton leads the Premier League in scoring. Brighton’s four straight league shutouts stand out, but so do the 15 goals it scored in those matches. Both teams play with high defensive lines and create chances. Over 2.5 goals at 1.64 is one option; the higher-risk pick is over 3.5 goals at 2.43.
