Ivan Juric returns to his former club with Monza for the second time this season. Seven weeks ago, Monza beat Torino 1-0 in the Coppa Italia round of 32, their first win over Torino in 36 years.

Torino Improves Under Abate

Torino struggled early in the season, exiting the Coppa Italia and taking just four points from their first five league matches. The club kept faith with manager Ignazio Abate, and the team has improved since the international break, particularly in attack. Torino recorded season-high expected goals (xG) totals against Udinese (2-1) and Parma (3-0), posting 2.64 and 1.59, respectively, in those wins.

Che Adams’ return has also helped. Torino’s leading scorer missed their final two September matches through injury. Right wing-back remains a concern, with Niccolò Fortini still unavailable. Rafik Belghali, on loan from Verona, has filled in over the last two rounds.
